Tri Counties Bank Donates $7,000 to JEDI in Support of Small Businesses in Siskiyou County
Tri Counties Bank announced a donation of $7,000 to JEDI to support its mission of improving the economic well-being of people and communities through business development and local wealth creation.
JEDI utilized $5,000 of the donation to support their “Credit as an Asset” program, which educates participants on how to build or rebuild their credit score. The program is housed through the Women’s Business Center at JEDI and was also funded through a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco’s AHEAD grant program.
“JEDI is very pleased to partner with Tri Counties Bank to deliver the “Credit as an Asset” program to Siskiyou County,” said Nancy Swift, Executive Director of JEDI. “The program was designed to address economic stability and mobility. These funds will assist in producing new business starts, clients with reduced debt burdens and new financing acquired, and renewed confidence in financial status.”
The remaining $2,000 of the donation-supported JEDI’s “Dream Big and Fund It” event, a three-day virtual summit for business owners and entrepreneurs seeking capital for their pre-launch, established, and growing businesses in Northern California and beyond.
“Tri Counties Bank is proud to support JEDI’s programs, which strengthen local businesses and will, in turn, strengthen our communities,” said Rick Smith, CEO, and President of Tri Counties Bank. “This donation will support the growth of our small businesses, especially in the aftermath of the effects leftover from the COVID-19 pandemic.”
